TL;DR
The greatsword steamroller: Barbarian's Path and Titan Edge stack two-handed damage, Bash and Shockwave turn parries into AoE, and Breach makes overpowered enemies explode. Simple to play, brutal to stand in front of, and it levels comfortably from level 1.

Attribute points: Strength 5 · Constitution 2
Stat priority
- Strength — melee damage and, through Athlete, max health
- Constitution — enough HP to trade hits face-first
- Endurance — stamina for heavy swings and sprinting between packs
- Weapon crit perks on gear once the core is done
Recommended weapons
Grounded in verified 1.0 changes (armor set conversions, gem buffs) rather than datamined damage tables — our weapons database is still being verified.
| Slot | Early | Mid | Endgame |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weapon 1 | Any two-handed sword/axe from tier-1 warrior crafting | Revelwood-tier two-hander; the Reaping weapon perk was greatly buffed and sustains stamina in long fights | Nomad Highlands-tier two-hander upgraded at the crafting survivor, with a crit or lifesteal-line perk |
Equipment upgrades for weapons exist since Update 8; the Reaping perk buff is from the official 1.0 changelog.
Recommended armor
- Heavy plate lines from the warrior crafting survivor
- Shiny Plates / Heavy Plates on the tree multiply whatever armor you wear
Food & consumables
- Health-scaled meals; farm produce keeps the supply running
- Stamina food for long boss phases — heavy swings drain fast
Gear progression
Early (levels 1–15)
Strength Spark → Barbarian's Path → Warrior's Path. Flat damage nodes are cheap (1 point per rank).
Mid (levels 15–30)
Titan Edge 3, Two-Handed Specialization, Bash ranks, Constitution pips + Athlete for HP.
BiS (levels 30–50)
Breach, Shockwave, Relentless, Strength pips completed, upgraded Nomad Highlands two-hander.
Playstyle
Walk in, swing. Parry when the enemy commits — Bash pays you damage, Shockwave pays the whole pack, and the stun bar you build feeds Merciless Attacks (core area, cheap) for execute damage. Use Breach windows (overpowered enemies take +100% melee damage for 3 seconds) to dump your Special Ability. Between packs, sprint with Wanderlust-tier core skills if you route through the center.
Strengths & weaknesses
Strengths
- Simple, satisfying, effective from level 1 — the best first character
- Parry-based AoE (Bash + Shockwave) clears packs without stamina cost
- Athlete converts damage stats into HP — tankiness for free
Weaknesses
- Committing to two-handed leaves the dagger/1H clusters across the tree
- Weak into heavy frost/kiting enemy patterns
- Expensive capstones (Relentless costs 5 points)
Synergies & counters
- Perfect frontline for bow ranger or fire mage — you hold aggro, they delete
- Saviour (core, 1 point) makes you the group's reviver if you dip into the center
What counters this build
Frost mages and kiters slow your swing cadence — close distance with Strategic Maneuver (cheap core-adjacent node) or throwables. Massive burst bosses out-trade your HP pool until Athlete and plate multipliers come online.
Level-by-level skill order
Suggested unlock order for the 39-point target — follow it roughly; the exact pace depends on how many Shroud Roots and Elixir Wells you've found (they fund the same pool of points).

Recommended gems
- Melee damage or lifesteal-line gems on the two-hander
- Gem of Battle Mania had stats lowered in 1.0 — verify live values before committing
When NOT to pick this build
- You want a ranged or pet playstyle
- Your party already has two melee frontliners
- You're doing dense indoor content where two-handed swings clip walls
FAQ
What is the best warrior build in Enshrouded 1.0?
For damage-per-effort, two-handed barbarian (Barbarian's Path + Titan Edge + Bash/Breach/Shockwave) is the strongest warrior profile on the 1.0 tree and levels from level 1. Tank-minded players route the Tower/Warden cluster instead.
Did warrior builds change in 1.0?
The dagger skills left the warrior area for the assassin cluster (official changelog), sharpening warrior as the pure melee area. The parry/overpower toolkit (Bash, Breach, Shockwave) is intact, and Reaping weapon perks were greatly buffed.
Two-handed or one-handed in 1.0?
Two-handed has the dedicated damage line (Barbarian's Path + Titan Edge + Relentless) and better AoE; one-handed pairs with shields and Faster-attack nodes for a tankier feel. Both Specializations unlock with [R] abilities.
