Enshrouded Ranger Skill Tree — 1.0

Bows, daggers and critical strikes. The ranger area is the largest on the tree — bow damage and the Multi Shot chain on one side, the assassin cluster (moved here in 1.0) with stealth openers and the brand-new poison line on the other. Below: the planner focused on the ranger area, the key nodes with real costs from the game files, and what 1.0 changed.

74 skills in this area (12 actives) · 218 points to max every rank here · Last updated 2026-10-19 · game build 1267041 (release_1.0)

Not sure where to start? Load the opening points — Dexterity → Marksman → Sniper (bow damage), a connected starter path. From there, click any node that lights up (dimmed nodes stay locked until a path reaches them — same rule as in game).

212 points left · 0 spent of 212

How to use: ① click any pulsing ✦ Spark — it's the free entry point → ② only nodes wired to your lit skills can be learned — dimmed nodes are locked until a path reaches them, so follow the lines outward (right-click refunds a point) → ③ Copy build saves the whole thing in the link itself.

What's new for ranger in 1.0

New nodes on this area of the 1.0 tree: Shrapnel Blast, Echoing Explosives, Venomous Blades, Venom Mastery, Strategic Maneuver, Puncture, Barrage, Survival Instinct — plus 6 officially moved nodes (Backstab Mastery, Eagle's Bane, Dagger Mastery, Cutthroat, Fatal Precision, Dagger Specialization). Every before/after value is on the Ranger 1.0 change list.

1.0 also reset every skill tree on first load (all points refunded) — details and the free way to plan the re-spend are in our respec guide.

Where to start: the nearest ✦ Sparks

Sparks cost 0 points — they're the free doors into the tree. The three closest to the ranger area and what they connect to:

  • ✦ Spark → Dexterity, Fisherman’s Resolve
  • ✦ Spark → Endurance, Lumberjack
  • ✦ Spark → Dexterity, Double Jump

Computed from node positions in the 1.0 server files — distances to this area's centroid, so the list tracks the data, not our memory.

A simple ranger leveling route

Early (levels 1–15)

Take the Spark nearest the bow side, buy Marksman ranks, then Sniper. Flat damage first — crit nodes pay off once you can reliably hit weak points.

Mid (levels 15–30)

Skill Shot and Fatal Precision complete the crit triangle; Bow Specialization (3 points) unlocks the [R] ability. Add Vitality Surge so kiting costs nothing.

Late (levels 30–50)

The Multi Shot chain, Blessed Arrows for mana, and either deeper crit (existing build) or pivot into the assassin cluster — Sneak Attack, Backstab Mastery, the new venom line.

FAQ

What is in the ranger area of the Enshrouded skill tree?

74 skills covering bows (Marksman, Sniper, the Multi Shot chain), daggers and the assassin cluster (Sneak Attack, Backstab Mastery, Cutthroat), the new 1.0 poison line (Venomous Blades, Venom Mastery), plus survivability and utility like Eagle Eye and Silent Stride. Full costs and ranks are in the table above, extracted from the 1.0 game files.

Where did the dagger skills go in Enshrouded 1.0?

Into the assassin cluster of the ranger area — Dagger Mastery, Dagger Specialization, Cutthroat, Backstab Mastery and Fatal Precision all sit there on the 1.0 tree, officially moved by Keen Games (each is marked ↗ on our ranger change list with its pre-1.0 location).

Bow or daggers for a ranger in 1.0?

Bows are the safer, easier route — the crit pipeline (Sniper + Fatal Precision + Skill Shot) plus Multi Shot scales cleanly to endgame. Daggers are the higher-skill assassin playstyle, and 1.0's new Venomous Blades → Venom Mastery line finally gives them a poison payoff. Both have rated builds on our tier list.

How do I reset my ranger skill points in 1.0?

At a Flame Altar: resetting the skill tree costs 1 Rune per spent skill point per the official Enshrouded wiki, and it resets the whole tree at once. Our respec guide covers the details, and planning the respec here in the planner is free.
